The legal stuff.
How TripRêve handles your data, the rules for using the site, and how affiliate links work — written in plain language.
Affiliate Disclosure
Last updated: May 2026 · In compliance with FTC guidelines (16 CFR Part 255)
Our commitment to transparency
TripRêve participates in affiliate marketing programs. When you click certain links on this site and make a qualifying purchase or booking, we may earn a small commission — at no extra cost to you.
This disclosure is made in compliance with the U.S. Federal Trade Commission’s guidelines on endorsements and testimonials (16 CFR Part 255), as well as similar consumer protection rules in the EU, UK, and other jurisdictions.
Some links on TripRêve earn us a commission when you book or buy. The price you pay is the same. Our recommendations are based on what we think actually works for the reader — not on which program pays the highest rate.

The list above represents programs TripRêve may earn through — some are currently active, others we may join over time as the site grows. Mentioning a brand here does not mean an active commission relationship exists today. If a specific link in an article earns a commission, that article’s content reflects independent editorial judgment regardless of the affiliate status. This list is updated as partnerships are added or removed.
How affiliate links work
Affiliate links look like regular links. They typically include a tracking code that tells the booking platform you arrived from TripRêve. When you click an affiliate link and complete a qualifying action — usually a booking or purchase — the platform pays us a small percentage of the sale.
Some technical details to be aware of:
- Cookies are involved. Most affiliate platforms set a tracking cookie when you click. The cookie typically lasts 24 hours to 30 days, depending on the program.
- Your price is unchanged. The commission comes from the booking platform, not from you. You pay the same price whether or not you click through TripRêve.
- You can opt out. If you don’t want affiliate cookies set, simply visit the booking platform directly without clicking our links. Or use your browser’s private/incognito mode.
Editorial independence
This is the part that matters most:
- Affiliate relationships do not influence which destinations we write about
- We do not accept payment for positive reviews or guaranteed placement
- If we don’t think something is worth booking, we say so — even if there’s an affiliate program for it
- Negative aspects of recommendations are always disclosed in the article itself
- If a guide recommends Brand A over Brand B, it’s because we genuinely think Brand A is the better choice — not because Brand A pays a higher commission
If you ever spot a recommendation that feels off, or a disclosure that seems missing, please flag it through the contact form. We take editorial complaints seriously.
Sponsored content
TripRêve does not currently publish sponsored content. If this changes:
- Sponsored articles will be clearly labelled at the top with the words “Sponsored content” or “In partnership with [brand]”
- Sponsored guides will follow the same editorial standards as non-sponsored guides — including a real downside in every section and a clear verdict
- We will not publish sponsored content for products or services we wouldn’t recommend on their own merit
Amazon Associates notice
If TripRêve participates in the Amazon Associates Program, the standard required disclosure applies: “As an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases.”
This disclosure will appear on individual articles where Amazon links are present and active, at the time the affiliate relationship is live.
